Australia Uses Stringent Testing, Quarantine, Border Controls
Australia has managed to flatten the curve with daily infections peaking on 28th March at 460 and decreasing most days since. They have used stringent testing, quarantine and border controls, the tracing of carriers, self-isolation of those at risk and strictly-enforced social distancing rules. All backed up by enforcement by the army.
Coronavirus: Macron announces drastic measures in France
Macron annonces closure of schools until further notice along with voluntarily confine vulnerable people. He has not declared any general confinement, but stressed the importance of limiting travel as much as possible and asked companies and employees to implement teleworking solutions where possible.
Germany tightens curbs and bans meetings of more than two
No more than groups of two allowed to form in public unless they live together in the same household. The exception being if the gathering is work-related. Police will monitor and punish anyone infringing the new rules. Restaurants only allowed to open for takeaway service. All restrictions in place for at least the next two weeks
