Mortgage Terms of Business
Our Company is authorised by the Financail Services Authority with registration number 302943. In addition we hold a Consumer Credit License, number 514512, are registered under the Data Protection Act, number X4394311, and hold appropriate Professional Indemnity cover.
You will be sent an Initial Disclosure Document when we start to help you to arrange your mortgage. This will outline the exact nature of the service we are providing you.
Level of Service
We will not receive advice or a recommendation from us. We may ask some questions to narrow down the selection of products that we will provide details on. You will then need to make your own choice about how to proceed.
Fees
We are a free service to you. We will be paid an introduction fee by the lender when your mortgage completes.
Confidentiality
We will treat all your personal information as private and confidential (even when you are no longer a client) except where we are required to disclose it by Law or where disclosure is made at your request, or with your consent in relation to arranging your mortgage. You have the right of access under the Data Protection Act 1998 to your personal records held on our files.
The Financial Services (FSA) regulates the mortgage market in the UK. As part of our duties to the FSA we may be asked to provide them with access to our customer records in order that they may carry out an audit of our activities. This is to ensure that we are complying with their regulations.
The FSA will only use the information for the purpose of checking compliance with their regulations and not for any other reason. If you would like us not to disclose any of your personal information to the FSA then please write to us informing us of this within 21 days of making your enquiry.
Application Processing
By asking us to help you with your mortgage (whether this is through our online enquiry form or by telephone, email or other method) you are giving permission for PROVISER to act on your behalf in searching for, arranging and securing a mortgage. You warrant that all the details you provide are correct and that you agree to these details and any other details we obtain while we search and arrange your mortgage being passed on to mortgage lenders and other organisations in order to help find and secure mortgage schemes for you.
Credit Checks
You also agree to your details being used for the purposes of a credit check which may be conducted by us or by another organisation such as a lender or mortgage packager. A record of this check may be kept on record by a credit reference agency and this information may be used during a future loan application to help determine the success of your application.
Complaints
Our aim is to provide you with a first class professional and confidential service. However, if you wish to make a complaint, we have internal procedures for handling complaints fairly and speedily and, should a complaint arise, in the first instance you should contact our Compliance Officer on 08450 650 000 or write to:
